We are the Audi Revolut F1® Team. Audi will compete in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship starting in 2026. The team has three locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg, Germany, is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Formula 1 Factory of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Audi Motorsport Technology Centre in the UK is in its launch phase and growing continuously. Our power unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for chassis development and race operations. This position for the Audi Revolut F1® Team is based at Audi Motorsport Technology Centre in Bicester Motion, UK.
Responsibilities
- Be involved in all aspects of the race car aerodynamic development, from initial ideas and design to analysis with numerical and experimental simulations.
- Contribute effectively to complex aerodynamics projects, working closely with aerodynamicists, CFD engineers and Aero designers to make a substantial contribution towards the performance of our race car.
- Contribute to develop a culture of continuous improvements in all aspects.
- Keen desire to improve own technical skills and aerodynamics knowledge of a race car.
Qualifications
- Strong educational background in aerodynamics, with a degree in engineering that incorporates either aerodynamics or fluid-mechanics.
- Experience in planning and organising aerodynamic projects against pre-agreed targets; this in collaboration with other Group Leaders.
- Proficient computer skills including CFD and 3D CAD software (preferably CATIA 3DX).
- Technical understanding of CFD and wind tunnel test techniques as well as some knowledge of running wind tunnel testing programs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical approach, with attention to detail, and a high work ethic.
- The capacity to contribute to a variety of projects and achieve performance targets within strict deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills to effectively manage a small team of people.
- Highly self-motivated, dedicated, creative, result-oriented and able to work independently with some flexibility in terms of working hours.
- A team player but with the initiative to make own decisions, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Open to learning from others and sharing knowledge with others.
