ABOUT THE ROLE
Operating at the highest levels of international motorsport, M-Sport UK delivers programmes across the FIA World Rally Championship, Rally Raid and a variety of global customer racing activities. We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an experienced HGV Driver & Event Operative to join our Operations team at our Dovenby Hall headquarters.
This is a varied and hands-on role combining professional HGV driving with the practical requirements of supporting M-Sport's motorsport events and operations. The successful candidate will play an important role in the preparation, transportation and operation of equipment, vehicles and facilities both from our Dovenby Hall headquarters and at events across the UK and internationally.
The role responsibilities include:

HGV Driving: Safely and professionally operate M-Sport HGV vehicles to transport competition cars, equipment, parts, tools and other event-related materials.

Event Transport: Support the transportation and movement of vehicles and equipment to and from motorsport events, tests and other activities.

Event Operations: Provide practical support with the set-up, operation and dismantling of M-Sport's event facilities, equipment and infrastructure.

Event Preparation: Assist with the preparation, loading and organisation of vehicles, equipment and materials prior to events and tests.

Loading & Unloading: Safely load, secure, transport and unload a wide range of motorsport equipment, ensuring all items are handled appropriately and securely.

Vehicle & Equipment Checks: Carry out routine checks of HGVs, trailers, event vehicles and associated equipment, reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.

Event Set-Up: Assist with the construction and preparation of service parks, hospitality areas, workshops and other event facilities.

Logistics: Assist with the movement, organisation and inventory of equipment, parts and materials throughout events and tests.

Documentation: Complete relevant vehicle, journey and event documentation, ensuring records are maintained accurately.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Essential Criteria & Skills:

HGV Licence: Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.

Driving Experience: Previous professional HGV driving experience, with a strong understanding of vehicle safety, loading and securing requirements.

Practical Skills: Strong practical and hands-on skills, with the ability to assist with a wide range of event and operational tasks.

Safety: Good understanding of health and safety requirements, particularly relating to HGV operation, loading, unloading and transportation.

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a busy event operations team.

Organisation: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage equipment, vehicles and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Communication: Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the business.

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and extended periods away from home in line with the requirements of motorsport programmes.

Travel: Willingness and ability to travel regularly in the UK and internationally as required.
Preferred Experience:

Previous experience within motorsport, automotive, engineering or manufacturing would be advantageous.

Experience with event set-up, temporary structures, workshop facilities or technical equipment would be advantageous.
