What you will be doing:
We are looking for an experienced Fabricator to join our growing fabrication team. This is a hands-on role working on a variety of bespoke projects, producing high-quality fabricated components and assemblies for low-volume, prototype and production work.
You will work from engineering drawings to fabricate precision components using a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be committed to delivering exceptional quality in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate fabrication of all components to engineering drawings.
- Ensure timescales are met for fabrication aspect of the conversion process.
- Ensuring the highest quality on showroom level vehicles
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time
- Compliance with all departmental H&S requirements
- Compliance, where appropriate with management, & environmental, systems, such as ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
What we’re looking for
Experience:
- Experience in production & race vehicle fabrication and repair.
- Experienced in TIG & MIG welding.
- Experience in bench welding environment using Jigs & fixtures.
- Experience in welding the following materials - Aluminium, 4130/T45/15CDV6 steel and Stainless steel.
- Experience in argon tank welding an advantage (not essential).
- Must be capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, as well as working freehand as required.
- Experience in estimating welding process times.
- Knowledge of brake press, punches, hand tools and sheet metal work an advantage.
