Life Racing has extensive experience in the design, manufacture, development, andsupport of a broad range of products including engine control units (ECUs), powerdistribution units (PDUs), display units, integrated paddle shift systems and high reliabilitywiring harnesses to all levels and sectors.

Life racing offers a range of services to support clients including on site and remote support,complete wiring harness solutions and custom electronic design. Extensive control systemsexperience provides the ability to advise on development from a control strategy perspectiveleading to better performance in shorter timescales.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and driven New Business Development Manager to lead growthefforts for our small but fast growing and successful electronics business, This role involvesidentifying business opportunities, building strategic partnerships and driving sales in bothexisting and emerging markets. The ideal candidate will have the experience in theelectronics industry, a strong sales background and the ability to work independently in a dynamic small business.

Role outline:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets – including but notlimited to motorsport, marine, military and aviation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners and vendors
• Develop and execute sakes strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
• Research and analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activities
• Collaborate with the product and technical team to tailor solutions for clients
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions and networking events
• Support in the negotiation and preparation of proposals and managing contractprocesses.
• Provide regular sales forecasts, reports and insights to Senior Management
• Monitor and evaluate customer satisfaction and ensure post sales support withinternal teams

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience and success in a technical sales role, ideally within motorsport orautomotive electronics
• Excellent communication skills
• Negotiation and presentation abilities
• Technical understanding of the electronics business
• Enthusiastic with a genuine desire to understand and improve the business
• Recognising that tasks need completing correctly, accurately, and consistently.
• Demonstrating initiative and capability to problem solve.
• Ability to operate under pressure, demonstrating resilience and a calm approach
• Confident in answering detailed information requests
• Well organised with a methodical approach to work
• High Level of diligence
• A growth mindset and willingness to accept feedback.
• A valid driver’s licence is essential
• Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office suite
• Willingness to travel internationally as required

Preferred Experience:

• Degree in engineering, business or related field
• Proven experience and success in a technical sales role, ideally within motorsport orautomotive electronics

Hours of work & Benefits

40-hour, full-time week, working 8 hours a day Monday – Friday,

The role is based on site at the Life Racing Unit in Burnt Mills Industrial Estate howeversignificant time will be spent working remotely visiting potential clients.
