We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially driven Business Intelligence Analyst to support data-informed financial decision-making. This role bridges performance data, financial insights, and strategic initiatives to enhance both on-track competitiveness and off-track profitability.
- Design and maintain Power BI dashboards for financial reporting (P&L, cash flow, KPIs) with clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
- Build and optimise scalable data models using DAX and Power Query
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost optimisation with data-driven insights
- Ensure data governance, quality, and consistency across financial datasets and source systems
- Integrate multiple data sources into unified, high-performance reporting models
- Drive continuous improvement by leveraging new Power BI features, automation, and advanced analytics
- Support AI-driven reporting, including forecasting and anomaly detection, in collaboration with data science teams
- Own BI roadmap and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Communicate insights effectively to both finance and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field
- Strong experience with Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query, dashboard design)
- Solid understanding of financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
- Proven experience in data governance, data quality management, and validation processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
- Exposure to Azure, cloud data platforms, or data warehousing solutions
- Experience with Python or other analytical tools
