We are looking for a highly skilled Metallic Machinist to join our team in Silverstone. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, producing high-precision components that meet exacting specifications for motorsport applications. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and contribute to a culture of excellence within the machine shop.

  • Set up and operate 5 Axis CNC machines to produce precision metallic parts
  • Conduct basic inspections on completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineers and other machinists to improve manufacturing processes
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Document production data and maintain accurate records of work done
  • Assist in the training and mentorship of new machinists

What do we need from you?

  • Proven experience as a 5 Axis Machinist, preferably in a motorsport or precision engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of 5 Axis CNC machining techniques, tools, and processes
  • Experience with Heidenhain
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, HyperMill would be an advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Familiarity with tooling selection and machine maintenance
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines
  • Flexible approach and a can-do attitude
