We are looking for a highly skilled Metallic Machinist to join our team in Silverstone. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, producing high-precision components that meet exacting specifications for motorsport applications. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and contribute to a culture of excellence within the machine shop.
- Set up and operate 5 Axis CNC machines to produce precision metallic parts
- Conduct basic inspections on completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
- Collaborate with engineers and other machinists to improve manufacturing processes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of work done
- Assist in the training and mentorship of new machinists
What do we need from you?
- Proven experience as a 5 Axis Machinist, preferably in a motorsport or precision engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of 5 Axis CNC machining techniques, tools, and processes
- Experience with Heidenhain
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, HyperMill would be an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Familiarity with tooling selection and machine maintenance
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines
- Flexible approach and a can-do attitude
- Commitment to health and safety standards in the workplace
