As a Component Parts Finisher, you will be responsible for removing ridges and artefacts from parts produced on prototyping machines, ensuring a high-quality surface finish without compromising critical features. Many components are delicate and require exceptional care and precision throughout the finishing process.
Key responsibilities include:
- Finishing and preparing parts to the required standard for painting and aerodynamic use, including applying paint products to achieve a consistent finish free from defects such as orange peel or excessive build-up.
- Booking in, collecting, marking, and identifying parts, as well as carefully picking, packing, and storing them to ensure protection.
- Installing or gluing inserts using a range of adhesives and carrying out buddy checks to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment, and managing consumable stock levels within the model shop.
- Supporting wider workshop activities as required and ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone with excellent hand skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision on sensitive and high-value components. You will demonstrate:

- Strong manual dexterity and care when handling components, with an awareness of critical features and areas of importance.

- A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to efficient and effective processes.
