We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Concept Design Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating new car concepts and layouts, primarily using CAD to produce high-quality model file schemes, to suitably communicate, describe, and visualize intended future detail design direction. This role will require multiple iterations of similar design schemes to optimize, adjust, and react to constantly changing design parameters.
Responsibilities- Concept Design
- Create high-quality CAD schemes to develop future car design using Siemens NX 12 CAD system, managed by Team center 11.
- Provide, as required, reports or results of development ideas, to aid in performance assessment and communication to the wider technical staff.
- Work closely with the entire Concept Group, as well as with all technical groups involved in the design process, always maintaining good communication and cooperation.
- When agreed with Head of Concept Design, help and support Detail Design (DO) groups as and when required.
- Investigate new ideas and layouts for future car development.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external groups such as DO, Aero, VPG, suppliers, etc.
- Execute the day-to-day tasks, providing clear and proactive feedback.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the composite design team.
- Maintain and develop good relationships with all Design Office groups, Aero department, and VPG.
- Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects.
- Work in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and be proactive in promoting a positive image for the department/team/sponsors.

- High-level motorsport experience (LMP1, LMH, LMDH etc.) can be considered.
- Strong, broad understanding of complete car layout, and overall car concept philosophies.
- Strong, broad understanding of all car systems, aero requirements, design and analysis methods, as well as manufacturing methods and limitations.
- Be proactive in approach to work.
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude to problem solving.
- Open-mindedness to new ideas, wherever they may come from, and a car performance-based assessment of design suitability.
- The role is office-based and will, from time to time (as required), involve travel to Faenza offices.
