Die Motorsport Competence Group (Team ROWE Racing) sucht einen strukturierten, durchsetzungsstarken und kommunikationsstarken Workshop Operations Manager / Head of Workshop Operations (m/w/d) für unser Headquarter in St. Ingbert.

In dieser Rolle bist du verantwortlich für die operative Steuerung des gesamten Workshop-Betriebs. Du sorgst dafür, dass alle Projekte, Fahrzeuge und Baugruppen planbar, effizient und termingerecht fertiggestellt werden – mit klarer Priorisierung, sauberem Ressourcenmanagement und transparenter Kommunikation in Richtung Engineering und Führungsebene.

Deine Mission

Du übernimmst die End-to-End Verantwortung für die Workshop-Operations: Planung, Steuerung, Umsetzung, Qualität, Prozesse und Teamführung – damit aus Anforderungen konkrete Ergebnisse werden.

Deine Aufgaben

1) Workshop Delivery & Projektsteuerung

• Gesamtverantwortung für die operative Projektsteuerung im Workshop (Zeitpläne, Abhängigkeiten, Meilensteine, Delivery)
• Erstellung und laufende Pflege der Workshop-Roadmap (Wochen-/Monatsplanung, Event-Vorbereitung, Build-Pläne)
• Priorisierung aller Aufgaben im Workshop – inkl. kurzfristiger Umpriorisierung bei Änderungen (Teile, Schäden, neue Anforderungen)
• Sicherstellen, dass Fahrzeuge/Komponenten right-first-time und on-time bereitstehen
• Transparente Steuerung von Risiken & Engpässen und Herbeiführen schneller Entscheidungen mit Stakeholdern

2) Ressourcen- & Kapazitätsmanagement

• Kapazitätsplanung: Mechaniker, Arbeitsplätze, Tools, Zeitfenster
• Einsatzplanung des Mechaniker-Teams über Projekte und Fahrzeuge hinweg
• Sicherstellen, dass die richtigen Skills zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Thema arbeiten
• Koordination externer Ressourcen (falls relevant)

3) Shopfloor Leadership

• Fachliche Führung des Mechaniker-Teams im Headquarter und bei Einsätzen
• Einführung/Moderation von Daily Stand-ups, Weekly Planning, Shopfloor Reviews
• Aufbau einer klaren Arbeitsstruktur: Verantwortlichkeiten, Übergaben, Abnahmen
• Coaching: Fokus, Qualität, Teamdisziplin, Zusammenarbeit

4) Schnittstelle & Kommunikation

• Zentrale Schnittstelle zwischen Workshop ↔ Engineering ↔ Teamleitung ↔ Logistik/Einkauf
• Übersetzung von technischen Anforderungen in umsetzbare Arbeitspläne
• Sicherstellen, dass Informationen und Änderungen sauber kommuniziert und dokumentiert werden
• Klare, lösungsorientierte Kommunikation – auch bei Zeitdruck

5) Prozesse, Standards & Effizienz

• Verantwortung für Prozessdisziplin, Arbeitssicherheit, Ordnung und Sauberkeit (5S/Shop Standards)
• Weiterentwicklung von Standards, Checklisten und Abnahmeprozessen
• Identifikation von Bottlenecks und Umsetzung von Verbesserungen (Materialfluss, Layout, Tools, Ablauf)
• Aufbau eines pragmatischen Reporting-Systems (Status, Risiken, Maßnahmen, Lessons Learned)

Dein Profil

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in einer vergleichbaren Rolle in einem dynamischen technischen Umfeld, z. B.:
  Operations Manager, Workshop Manager, Werkstattleiter, Produktionsleiter, Projektleiter Werkstatt, Team Lead
  (Motorsport, Automotive, Industrie, Aviation/MRO, Sonderfahrzeugbau o.ä.)
• Sehr stark in Planung, Steuerung, Priorisierung und Ressourcenmanagement
• Du führst Teams klar, strukturiert und respektvoll – und bringst Dinge konsequent zu Ende
• Du kannst Komplexität runterbrechen und aus Chaos einen belastbaren Plan machen
• Technisches Grundverständnis, um mit Mechanikern & Engineering auf Augenhöhe zu arbeiten
• Hohe Reisebereitschaft sowie flexible Arbeitszeiten (inkl. Wochenenden)
• Führerschein
• Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil, gute Englischkenntnisse erforderlich

Motorsport Competence Group (Team ROWE Racing) is looking for a structured, hands-on and highly communicative Workshop Operations Manager / Head of Workshop Operations (m/f/d) to join our headquarters in St. Ingbert, Germany.

In this role, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operational management of our workshop. You ensure that all projects, cars and assemblies are delivered on time, in the required quality and with maximum efficiency – through clear prioritisation, strong resource planning and transparent cross-functional communication with Engineering and Management.

In short: you make sure the workshop delivers.

Your Mission

You take end-to-end responsibility for workshop operations: planning, execution, team coordination, quality discipline and continuous improvement – turning requirements into reliable delivery.

Your Responsibilities

1) Workshop Delivery & Project Control

• Overall responsibility for operational project control within the workshop (timelines, dependencies, milestones, delivery)

• Create, maintain and continuously optimise the workshop roadmap (weekly/monthly planning, event preparation, build plans)

• Prioritise and re-prioritise tasks as conditions change (parts availability, damage, new requirements)

• Ensure cars and assemblies are delivered right-first-time and on-time

• Provide transparent visibility of risks and bottlenecks and drive fast decision-making with key stakeholders

2) Resource & Capacity Management

• Capacity planning: mechanics, workstations, tools, time slots

• Resource allocation across cars, projects and builds

• Ensure the right skills are assigned to the right tasks at the right time

• Coordinate external resources (if applicable)

3) Shopfloor Leadership

• Lead and coordinate the mechanics team at HQ and during test/race events

• Set up and run daily stand-ups, weekly planning sessions and shopfloor reviews

• Establish clear ownership, handovers and sign-off routines

• Coach the team in focus, quality discipline and collaboration – especially under time pressure

4) Interfaces & Communication

• Main interface between Workshop ↔ Engineering ↔ Team Management ↔ Logistics/Purchasing

• Translate technical requirements into structured and executable work plans

• Ensure all changes and updates are communicated and documented properly

• Maintain clear, pragmatic and solution-oriented communication in a high-performance environment

5) Processes, Standards & Efficiency

• Ownership of process discipline, safety, cleanliness and workshop standards (e.g. 5S)

• Develop and maintain standards, checklists and sign-off processes

• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements (material flow, layout, tooling, procedures)

• Build a pragmatic reporting structure (status, risks, actions, lessons learned)

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in a comparable role in a fast-paced technical environment, such as:
  Operations Manager, Workshop Manager, Production Supervisor, Workshop Team Lead, Project Manager (technical)
  (motorsport, automotive, aviation/MRO, special vehicle builds, industrial production, etc.)

• Strong skills in planning, prioritisation, execution control and resource management

• Proven leadership capabilities: clear, structured, respectful and delivery-focused

• Ability to turn complexity into a clear plan and drive execution consistently

• Solid technical understanding to communicate effectively with mechanics and engineers (no need to be the “top mechanic”)

• High willingness to travel and flexible working hours incl. weekends

• Valid driving licence

• German is a plus; good English is required
