We’re looking for a high-energy, challenger-minded Senior Marketing Manager to own our B2C content end to end. An experienced candidate that brings a ‘Playbook’ with proven success within the 25-34 year old audience. This would include all video, written, social-first content that’s on trend, culture-aware and fast-paced. You will build content that punches above its weight, sparks conversation, and helps our brand compete with much bigger players.
Reports To: Head of Marketing
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Richmond UK, Remote
You will have real autonomy to shape ideas, lead campaigns, and decide how we show up, not just execute what’s already been decided. In this role freedom is high. Creative judgement matters. There is momentum, ownership and the chance to make a real impact.
About the role
- Video, Social-First Content & Campaigns
- Own the full content journey from idea to impact, working with agencies, creators, and in-house teams from concept through to post-campaign analysis.
- Lead platform-first creative across all social channels, content made for the feed, not adapted as an afterthought.
- Build and grow communities people actively choose to follow, with a focus on story-led content that drives awareness and cultural relevance.
- Provide hands-on creative direction across scripts, edits, hooks, and storytelling to maximise engagement.
- Lead the influencer and creator programme, spotting trends early and instinctively knowing how to make them feel on-brand.
- Constantly experiment with formats, tones and storytelling techniques: fast tests, fast learning, fast iteration.
- Use performance data from organic and paid activity to continuously refine creative and messaging.
- Partner closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver standout content with real commercial impact, not vanity metrics.
- Written & Editorial Content
- Lead on all creative written content and editing high-quality copy across PR, blogs, social, email, and internal communications.
- Champion our B2B content, produce video and written assets for dealers and partners, including case studies and ambassador programmes, ensuring a tailored but consistent brand voice.
- Standards, Optimisation & future-facing thinking
- Act as a guardian of brand voice, ensuring consistency, quality control, and compliance across all outputs.
- Analyse performance across content and SEO to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Manage budgets to create content that champions brand values.
- Explore emerging AI tools to improve speed and effectiveness without losing creative judgement.
You’ll thrive here if you
- Are ideas-led, not budget-led, you know how to make simple ideas land hard.
- Come with a proven playbook, you have a track record you can use at Cazoo to maximise results.
- Are autonomous & accountable, you will be comfortable taking ownership without waiting for permission.
- Have strong creative instincts and can defend your ideas, but are equally happy killing them if the data says so.
- Can write sharp, engaging copy that sounds human, confident and in line with our challenger brand values - not corporate.
- Are curious, culturally switched-on and are plugged into what people actually watch, share, and talk about.
At MOTORS, we’re fearlessly committed to helping car buyers and dealers save time, money, and energy. If you’re ready to challenge the status quo, give it your all, and come out smiling, you’ll fit right in. You can expect a fast pace, plenty of support and a commitment to work flexibility.
