We are currently seeking an Automotive Content Creator and Editor. The role plays a pivotal part in shaping the voice, storytelling, and visual impact of our automotive marketplace. Sitting at the heart of the Marketing team, this role combines expert editorial skills with creativity and digitalâfirst thinking. You will be responsible for producing and refining highâquality written and video content that informs, inspires, and engages car buyers and dealers across multiple channels.
Reports To: Head of Marketing
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Richmond UK, Remote
We are looking for a highâenergy, challengerâminded Creative Editor to own our B2C content end to end including all video, written, socialâfirst content that is onâtrend, cultureâaware and fastâpaced. You will build content that punches above its weight, sparks conversation, and helps our brand compete with much bigger players.
You will have real autonomy to shape ideas, lead campaigns, and decide how we show up, not just execute what has already been decided. In this role freedom is high. Creative judgement matters. There is momentum, ownership and the chance to make a real impact.
About the role
- Video, socialâfirst content & campaigns: Own the full content journey from idea to impact, working with agencies, freelancers, creators, influencers and inâhouse designers from concept and briefing through production, approvals, publishing and postâcampaign analysis.
- Lead platformâfirst creative across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook and emerging formats â content made for the feed, not adapted as an afterthought.
- Develop and lead contentâled campaigns that work across multiple platforms, building a clear narrative and maximising reach through smart channel optimisation.
- Build and grow all social channels, with a focus on TikTok and YouTube, create communities people actively choose to follow â not just watch once and scroll past.
- Create storyâled content that drives awareness, conversation and cultural relevance, aligned to our brand strategy and challenger positioning.
- Lead creative input for paid and boosted social campaigns, from briefing and concept development through to working withinâhouse teams and media and creative agencies to adapt, extend and optimise content for paid formats across platforms.
- Provide handsâon creative direction across scripts, edits, pacing, hooks, visuals, music, animation and storytelling to maximise engagement.
- Lead the influencer and creator programme, working with agencies, platforms, influencers, content creators and dealers.
- Spot trends early and instinctively know which are worth acting on â and how to make them feel onâbrand, not tryâhard.
- Constantly experiment with formats, tones and storytelling techniques: fast tests, fast learning, fast iteration.
- Partner closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver standout social content with real commercial and brand impact, not vanity metrics.
- Use performance data from organic and paid activity, use insight to continuously refine creative, formats and messaging across campaigns, understand what is working. Feeding learnings back into future campaigns and the wider marketing team.
- Keep the content engine running smoothly by managing video and image assets so everything is organised, accessible and ready to move quickly.
Written & editorial content:
- Lead on all creative written content: writing, editing, refreshing and proofreading highâquality copy across PR, blogs and editorial features, social copy and captions, press releases, email and CRM campaigns, and internal communications where needed.
- Support teams across the business with dayâtoâday copywriting and creative briefs for campaigns, launches and brand moments.
- Stay close to shifts in culture, technology and consumer behaviour to keep content fresh, relevant and commercially smart.
B2B Content:
- Create highâquality B2B content alongside B2C activity, ensuring a consistent but appropriately tailored brand voice.
- Produce video, written and campaign content for dealers and partners, including case studies, testimonials, ambassador programmes and socialâfirst assets.
- Support commercial and internal stakeholders with strong storytelling that brings propositions, proof points and customer success to life.
Standards, optimisation & futureâfacing thinking:
- Act as a guardian of brand voice and editorial quality, ensuring consistency, clarity and confidence across everything we publish.
- Quality control: review all content to ensure it is errorâfree, onâbrand, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Analyse performance across content and SEO to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Explore and use new and emerging AI tools to improve speed, output and effectiveness â without losing creative judgement or human tone.
What we are looking for:
- Are ideasâled, not budgetâled â you know how to make smart, simple ideas land hard.
- Are comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership without waiting for permission.
- Have strong creative instincts and can defend your ideas â but are equally happy killing them if the data says so.
- Understand social platforms deeply and know the difference between content that exists and content that performs.
- Can write sharp, engaging copy that sounds human, confident and challenger â not corporate.
- Are organised enough to juggle multiple projects, formats and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Are curious, culturally switchedâon and plugged into what people actually watch, share and talk about.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a B2C content, creative editor or socialâfirst role.
- Strong portfolio of video and written content (socialâfirst work essential).
- Experience working with agencies, creators or freelancers.
- Comfortable using performance data and insight to shape creative decisions.
- Automotive experience is a bonus â strong creative instincts matter more.
