- Salary: £13.60 per hour + bonus
- Location: Edinburgh
- Shift pattern: 5 over 7, including weekends as we are a 7-day retail business
- Hours: 42.5 hrs per week
- Contract type: Permanent

About the role

Our preparation department is a key department on every site, our fantastic Vehicle Preparation Assistants support the business by providing a hands-on operational service managing cars as they arrive on site. Working closely with colleagues and customers, you will manage your work via an app that creates a computer-based list to work from and facilitate the collection of vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. You will complete basic mechanical maintenance as and when required & complete pre-display and pre-collection valets.
What will my day-to-day look like?
- Checking in cars in all weathers, managing our in-house IT systems
- On a daily basis you will be checking vehicles for damage, checking all vehicle specification and service history and completing inspection data for vehicle loading
- This is a fast-paced role so the ability to stay calm and maintain excellent attention to detail as well as the desire to produce high-quality work is really important
- Support with the recondition of vehicles and the preparation for collection and pitch – including valeting
- High attention to detail is required to detect and rectify any preparation or cleanliness issues outside of our standard
