We have a fantastic city center office in the heart of Edinburgh and fully embrace a hybrid home/office working model, with an aim for 2 days in the office.

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with talented engineers to build high performing teams. A successful candidate will have strong coaching and motivational skills to enable highly technical teams to achieve results in a fast paced environment. We want engaging leaders to build great teams that can then build great products!

What this role involves:
  • Leading and building high performing teams of software developers from graduate to senior level.
  • Coaching, mentoring and encouraging career development.
  • Working with the teams to promote engineering best practices.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Working closely with the product team to champion the balance between short and long term objectives.
  • Collaborating with the wider organization to achieve our strategic objectives.
What we are looking for in you:
  • 3 or more years of experience in leading people and software engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging AI tools for optimizing engineering processes and team performance.
  • Track record of your teams delivering on time.
  • A natural ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Drive for continual learning.
  • Exposure to Scrum or other Agile frameworks.
  • Knowledge of modern software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Cloud and/or DevOps experience on a product with a large customer base and global reach.
  • Passionate about CI/CD and release trains, delivering a regular cadence of features and quality improvements.
  • Mastery in any programming language (C++, Go, TypeScript, ...).
  • Lead by example, exceed expectations and go above and beyond.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
