Company: Motorola Solutions UK Limited. This role is primarily remote, with a requirement to attend the Glasgow office for team days a couple of times per month. Occasional visits to other UK Motorola development sites or customer visits may be required.

Job Description

As a User Experience Designer, you will collaborate with product managers, developers, data scientists, subject matter experts and other members of the global UX team to design the next generation of public safety applications. You will enable a design-led, human-centered product development process and use design to inspire change and execute the vision.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product managers and development leads to define product strategy, requirements, priorities, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with the global UX team to review concepts, evolve processes, and ensure consistency across the company.
  • Work closely with experienced researchers to understand user needs and conduct usability testing.
  • Create the North Star experience vision for the suite of applications to inspire stakeholders.
  • Leverage industry best practices and tools to create wireframes, flows, and prototypes to communicate design intent to stakeholders.

Basic Requirements

  • Experience as a professional interaction, product, or user experience designer with a proven track record of practical work experience, delivering comprehensive and intuitive end-to-end solutions.
  • Strong ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders, customers, and the engineering team.
  • Passion for research-fueled rapid ideation.
  • Self-starter with a strong desire for team collaboration.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Experience with Figma.

Security Clearance

Please note: This role requires security clearance. You must be able to attain SC and NPPV3 clearances to be eligible for this role.
