What the job involves:
- Reporting to a Senior Product Manager, the Product Manager will be crucial in defining and measuring the success metrics for our access control management solution, with a key focus on supporting international growth.
- This role involves close collaboration with engineering to ensure development delivers market value and achieves business goals for the access control solution.
- A critical component of this role is working closely with the international sales organization, providing the necessary support to ensure the compelling and cohesive delivery of the Avigilon end-to-end solution worldwide.
- Specifically, we seek a talented product manager to lead the strategy for the maintenance and administration of the overall access control solution.
- The Product Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining a big-picture vision and roadmap that supports the Company’s strategic goals.
- The role requires validating and developing ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and stakeholders.
- Being the voice of the market and customer within the organization.
- Ensuring internal stakeholders clearly understand product requirements through clear elaboration of the customer problems to be solved, use cases being addressed, and documentation of the results expected.
- Deeply understanding the competitive environment and our product competitive position.
- Establishing clear product/feature vision – the who, what, why, where, and when (but not the how) and champion that within the organization and ensure all project decisions are consistent with that vision.
- Development and maintenance of the business case for each project including revenue projections and project ROI.
- Managing a product through the entire product life cycle from initial concept, launch, maintenance and product end-of-life.
- Continually monitor product performance and take action accordingly.
- Guide product introduction to ensure impactful and effective product launches.
- Provide input to product pricing strategy and product pricing.
- Maintain product pricelist.
- Assist sales and technical support in finding answers to questions about the product and how it should be positioned to address specific customer problems.
- In collaboration with Product Marketing, ensure sales tools and technical collateral are sufficient to enable the channel to successfully position the product.
