Department Overview
The Evidence and Devices Engineering team is responsible for Motorola Solutions' body cameras, vehicle cameras and evidence management software leveraged in public safety and enterprise applications worldwide. We are a thriving and growing company in search of a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our evidence management team at our Edinburgh, Scotland site. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in the development and growth of our software engineering projects. We are seeking a talented and proactive individual who can contribute to our team's success and foster a positive culture within the company.
Job Description
Please note that this role is based in the Edinburgh Office. The successful candidate must have already graduated.
- Designing and implementing Embedded Software in C, C++, Rust.
- Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise.
- Learning and maintaining an existing code base, while taking ownership of the feature in development.
- Ensuring continuous professional self-development.
Basic Requirements
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, Electrical or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Embedded software development, testing and debugging software issues.
- Collaborates with co-workers and has strong communication, relationship-building, and cooperation skills.
- Ability to multi-task under guidance.
- Interest to learn and grow your skillset on Embedded Linux, Microcontrollers, Electronics.
Bonus points for:
- Previous working experience on Embedded Systems.
- Familiarity with Linux-based environments.
