Motorclean is a vehicle preparation company that provides valeting and various services to car companies across the UK. We have opportunities for Self Employed Yard Drivers to join our busy automotive logistics operation in Portbury. This is a hands-on yard-based role, where you will play an important part in the smooth movement and organisation of vehicles within the port and surrounding compounds. You will be responsible for safely driving, manoeuvring and positioning vehicles between operational areas, ensuring they are correctly located and ready for onward movement.

Schedule:

  • AM shift: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:30 - Paying £14.50 per hour
  • PM shift: Monday - Friday 15:15 - 23:45 - Paying £16.60 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently manoeuvre vehicles throughout the port and compounds.
  • Position vehicles accurately within designated parking and operational areas.
  • Ensure vehicles are handled with the highest level of care at all times.
  • Carry out visual checks and report any damage or issues promptly.
  • Follow designated routes, site procedures and all relevant health & safety requirements.
  • Work closely within a team to maintain an efficient flow of vehicles.
  • Maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment.
  • Meet operational requirements while maintaining a strong focus on safety, vehicle care and attention to detail.

What We're Looking For:

  • The ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced and responsible driver who understands the importance of working safely around vehicles and within a busy operational environment.
  • A competent, experienced and careful driver with a full driving licence.
  • Over 25 years old - insurance requirement.
  • Reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a team or alone.
  • Good level of English and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts where required.
