The Role

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. You will work closely with the Group Management Accountant to support financial reporting, variance analysis, and month-end processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an active professional, looking to progress their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts regularly.
  • Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain variances between actual spend and forecast budgets.
  • Profitability Reporting: Preparation of regular KPIs to support operational decision-making.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement ways to streamline standard accounting workflows.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualification Status: Post-graduate finance related.
  • Technical Excellence: Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, knowledge of Access Dimensions (beneficial).
  • Relevant Experience: Understanding of transactional finance and month end processes.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot trends and errors in complex data.
  • Communication Skills: Confidence to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
