We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Mobile SMART Repair to lead and scale our national mobile division. Our business delivers both static and mobile SMART repair solutions to long-standing, high-volume automotive clients across the UK. Demand for mobile refurbishment is increasing rapidly, and we are investing in the next phase of growth. We are now looking for a senior operator to take ownership of the mobile division, refine the operating model and build it properly for scale. This is a leadership opportunity within an established, financially stable automotive services business. It offers genuine autonomy, senior exposure and the backing required to build something meaningful.
The Opportunity
You will take full responsibility for the national Mobile SMART repair operation, overseeing performance, structure, technician standards and commercial outcomes. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape the strategy for the division and ensure it is positioned for sustainable, profitable growth. This role goes beyond day to day management – it is about creating a mobile SMART repair operation that stands apart. You will define the structure, raise performance standards and build a disciplined, scalable platform capable of supporting national growth. You will also have the backing of an in-house development team. We invest in technology and build bespoke systems to support our clients and operations. Your sector experience will directly influence workflow design, reporting insight and the evolution of a more data‑led and user friendly mobile repair model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the national mobile SMART repair division
- Improve productivity, utilisation and margin performance
- Manage key supplier relationships, ensuring quality, value and operational reliability
- Implement operational structure and performance management frameworks
- Ensure quality control and consistent service standards across the fleet
- Recruit, develop and retain high-performing technicians
- Support national client delivery and service excellence
- Identify and unlock growth opportunities within existing accounts
- Work with our internal development team to enhance systems, reporting and operational efficiency
- Contribute to strategic planning alongside Senior Leadership
