Location: Weston-super-Mare Salary: £32,500 – £40,000 depending on experience + Bonus Scheme Hours: 8.00am – 5.00pm Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Role

As Workshop Controller, you\’ll be the linchpin of our bodyshop operations—coordinating workflow, managing technicians, and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You\’ll play a key role in maintaining productivity, quality control, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the bodyshop workshop
• Allocate work to technicians based on skillset and availability
• Monitor job progress and ensure timely completion
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
• Liaise with estimators, parts departments, and customer service teams
• Provide technical support and guidance to the workshop team
• Drive performance targets and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• Proven experience in a similar role within a bodyshop or accident repair centre
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle body repair processes
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• IMI or ATA accreditation (desirable but not essential)
