We have won MTF awards for excellence in business growth & strive to provide great outcomes for our customers & team alike.About the role:This role will suit a candidate looking to work 30-35 hours per week.This is a work from home role that will have all hardware provided. All training will be provided in office with our current credit controller.You will work autonomously and report to the Branch Manager.We need someone with strong interpersonal skills and who can establish effective professional relationships with a diverse range of customers.This role may have the opportunity to transition into sales.The role is responsible for managing our arrears processes. This includes contacting debtors and working with customers to recover outstanding debts and making arrangements, so the money owed is recovered in as little time as possible. This position can be stressful and difficult. This role requires exceptional communication and resilience – the job holder will need to polite and sensitive towards people while also remaining committed to their purpose and persistent. To be successful requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and managing tight timeframes, and accuracy with financial analysis.Just some of the things you’re responsible for:Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments.Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status.Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.Investigate and resolve discrepancies.Create trusted relationships with debtors when possible, to avoid future issues.Update account status and database regularly.Alert the Branch Manger of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary.You’ll need to have:Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines.Excellent communication and people skills.Apt in negotiating and seeking appropriate outcomes.Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence.The ability to work under pressure and complete work to a high quality and on time.Some experience in dealing with customer interaction with people from all walks of life is beneficial.What you’ll receive in return:In return for your commitment to this position you will be rewarded with:Full training using dedicated web-based finance management systems plus one on one training with our current Credit ManagerA great working environment.An attractive salary package and benefits.Candidates must possess a New Zealand Driver Licence and the legal right to full-time work in New Zealand.
