About the role - We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused Finance & Business Administrator to join our busy team. This is a varied role combining finance administration with wider business and operational support. While the role has a strong finance element, it is much broader than a traditional accounts position. You will work closely with the Finance Team and Senior Management, providing day-to-day support across the business and helping ensure the Company operates efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • HR and employee administration, including starters, leavers and training records;
  • Preparing Company communications, documents, trackers and reports;
  • Supporting the Business Manager and General Manager with business administration;
  • Assisting with Company policies and compliance administration;
  • Acting as a point of contact for routine business queries and helping to coordinate their resolution.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be involved in the wider running of a business, rather than focusing solely on finance. Please note that the role is office-based.

About You - You will ideally have previous experience in a finance, accounts or business administration role and be confident working with financial information and computerised systems. We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised and methodical;
  • Accurate, with excellent attention to detail;
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;

  • Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Proactive and willing to take ownership;
  • Discreet when handling confidential information;
  • Positive, approachable and solution-focused;
  • A team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and the wider business.

Previous experience within the motor trade, vehicle repair, bodyshop or insurance industry would be advantageous, as would experience working with Work Providers or automotive business systems.
