As a Direct Marketing Officer, you will play a key role in shaping direct marketing campaigns that connect supporters, drive engagement and boost income. You will plan and deliver direct marketing activity that motivates action, builds trust and strengthens long‑term supporter relationships. This role is suited to someone who values collaboration and impact, and who can manage multiple campaigns with creativity and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver direct marketing campaigns across online and offline channels
- Recruit, develop and retain supporters through targeted communications
- Produce appeals, newsletters and supporter updates using sourced insight and data
- Manage day‑to‑day relationships with external agencies and suppliers
- Monitor campaign budgets, schedules and delivery against agreed standards
- Analyse campaign results against targets and recommend improvements
- Respond to supporter and stakeholder queries clearly and promptly
- Keep up to date with fundraising regulations and sector activity to inform campaign design
About You
- Experience delivering direct marketing campaigns in the not‑for‑profit sector
- Strong knowledge of direct marketing principles and agency management
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using CRM databases to support direct marketing
- High numeracy and confidence analysing performance data
- Strong attention to detail, including proof reading
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines
