As our Digital Technical Lead, you will guide the direction of our supporter facing digital platforms and support colleagues to make informed technical choices. This role will influence how the Motor Neurone Disease Association delivers accessible and reliable digital platforms for people affected by motor neurone disease (MND), supporters and volunteer-facing digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical contact for our website agency, ensuring accountable, value-driven partnership working.
- Provide technical oversight to ensure external-facing digital platforms are secure, scalable and aligned with best practice.
- Upskill colleagues and encourage product-based ways of working across teams.
- Monitor performance using analytics and user insight to make data-led decisions.
- Maintain a joined-up view of all digital products to support strategic alignment.
- Oversee the technical delivery of seamless external user journeys.
- Ensure compliance with security and accessibility standards, proactively identifying and managing risks.
- Lead on developing and maintaining clear processes, documentation and technical guidelines.
- Collaborate across the Technology teams to support well-coordinated digital delivery.
- Communicate technical information in ways that support informed decisions across the organisation.
- Keep the MND Association informed on emerging technologies and opportunities for improvement.
About You
- Expert skills in Drupal.
- Proven experience managing relationships with digital agencies.
- Confident assessing technical feasibility and advising product-led teams.
- Strong experience delivering digital platforms, with deep technical understanding of infrastructure and architecture.
- Knowledge of performance optimisation, user experience, and accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG 2.1).
- Ability to communicate technical detail clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
