We’re looking for an exceptional individual to flawlessly run an ever‑growing Press Fleet, and support us in our mission to become one of the industry’s leading Press Offices. This newly created role will be an integral part of the company’s UK PR team, across both the BYD and DENZA brands, with the potential to also run the YANGWANG luxury brand Press Fleet in the future. As a result, you’ll be promoting everything from the DOLPHIN SURF electric supermini to the DENZA flagship, Z9GT, with efficiency, performance and technology at the core.

The Role:

  • Optimally run the UK Press fleet for BYD and incoming DENZA premium brand, including liaison with media of all types – both proactively and reactively – to secure media coverage and impressive event presence for our full model range and wealth of technologies.
  • Proactively seek new press fleet opportunities to maximise BYD and DENZA’s reach and potential audience.
  • Working with product placement agency to secure high‑exposure TV and film opportunities.
  • Liaise efficiently with demo fleet supplier for optimal cost management, targeting and utilisation.
  • Collaborate with PR Manager and Press Officer, to ensure media receive timely and accurate media loan assets and documentation.
  • Liaison with UK Operations and Fleet teams on ordering Press cars, as well as infleets and defleets, plus vehicle insurance and licence checking systems.
  • Represent the company at UK events, including media-facing ones.

The role reports to the UK Head of PR.

Working Pattern: Fully office-based (five days per week), with occasional travel in UK expected.

What we are looking for:

  • 3 years+ Press Fleet experience preferred (ideally in-house), including budgeting, bookings system management and reporting/coverage tracking.
  • A passionate self‑starter with a passion for the auto and technology industries.
  • Relentless drive, with a flexible and proactive outlook.
  • Able to work independently, but also collaborate with UK PR team members and other departments seamlessly.
  • Strong team player, with excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to travel in the UK, including weekends if necessary.
  • Must hold current driving licence and be able to vary working hours to incorporate evening and weekend working for events when required.

What we offer:

  • Performance and experience based competitive remuneration.
  • 25 days paid holidays + public holidays.
  • Private healthcare.
  • Commuting allowance.
  • Salary sacrifice car scheme.
  • Scottish Widows workplace pension.
  • Department and company wide team building events.
