This position is located at Polestar UK Headquarters in Bicester, Oxfordshire three days a week with home working twice a week. Some UK-based travel for PR event work will be required.

You’ll be instrumental in driving coverage of Polestar in the UK and boosting brand awareness, ultimately resulting in sales. Below is a breakdown of the various tasks and areas you’ll be responsible for:
- Coverage collation: collate all Polestar-related coverage in the UK on a daily basis, reporting back to the PR team and creating reports for the wider business.
- Press fleet management: managing our fleet of Polestars for media use, liaising with journalists every day, increasing utilisation of our cars and aiding brand awareness.

The ideal candidate: In order to succeed in this role, and at Polestar in general, there are a few characteristics you’ll need to have: tenacity, flexibility and curiosity. A true team player with the ability to take the initiative, and to meet deadlines and requirements efficiently. The ideal candidate should have:

- Sound knowledge of the media landscape.
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organisation and planning skills.
- A desire to test new ideas and approaches.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ideally a valid UK driver’s licence.
While competence and experience are important, personality and passion are key! In addition, you’ll need the following qualifications:
- In the process of gaining, or just graduated from, a degree in public relations, communications, marketing or similar.
- At least three A levels graded C or above.
Polestar is an international company, with various backgrounds represented. English, therefore, is the language of written and spoken communication. Please note that this is a 54-week full time fixed term contract so is likely best suited to someone looking to gain experience in a press office role for a placement year while either still at university or newly-graduated.
The process: The interview process is human-led and so candidates found to be using AI will be rejected. However, if the above job role matches your ambitions, be sure to apply.
