POSITION GOAL: The Mechanic Position performs advanced diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks on complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and safety. This role requires the ability to execute intricate maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision, delivering high-quality results.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Engine Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair a range of engine types, including diesel, electric, and hydrogen fuel cell engines.
- Technical Leadership and Mentorship: Serve as a technical resource for Mechanic Helpers and Mechanic IV team members.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Engine and Body Accessories: Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on heating and air conditioning systems, electrical components, and suspension, braking, and steering systems.
- Electrical and Pneumatic System Maintenance: Diagnose and repair electrical systems and maintain pneumatic valves and control cables.
- Routine and General Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine lubrication tasks, change transmission fluid and filters, and remove/install components.
- Advanced Repairs and Replacements: Repair or replace critical components like radiators, water pumps, and control systems.
- Glass Installations and Body Repairs: Assist in glass installations and perform basic body repairs.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 5-10 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Air and Passenger endorsements preferred.
- High-Voltage (HV) Safety Certification and HV Maintenance/Repair Training are highly desired.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and precision tools.
- Ability to operate fleet and data management software.
- Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
- Adequate visual ability to read diagnostic screens and inspect parts.
- Comfortable working in varying conditions and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must adhere to all workplace safety procedures.
This position is based in Blackwood, NJ. Candidates should be comfortable commuting to this location on a daily basis.
