If you’re someone who enjoys rolling your sleeves up, but also wants to influence strategy, ways of working and people development, this role offers the best of both worlds.
What will your day look like? This role is deliberately balanced - day to day, you’ll:
- Deliver high‑quality, timely management information and insight for the Motor business
- Remain hands‑on with complex analysis, data manipulation and MI production
- Translate data into clear, commercially meaningful insight for senior stakeholders

Alongside this, you’ll:
- Work closely with the Head of function to help shape strategy, priorities and ways of working
- Line manage and develop three graduates, building their technical capability and confidence
- Play a key role in building long‑term in‑house data capability and nurturing future talent
- Embed strong controls, governance and quality standards across MI outputs
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate and evolve reporting processes
What do we expect from you? We’re open‑minded on background, but some things are essential. You’ll bring:
- Strong, in‑depth working knowledge of SQL, SAS, R or Python (one or more)
- A solid financial services background with understanding of core lending concepts (motor finance experience is welcome but not required)
- A passion for data quality, insight and doing things the right way
- The confidence to explain complex data clearly to non‑technical audiences
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience line managing or coaching others (preferred, but not essential)
- Exposure to building or evolving MI, reporting or analytics capability
- A mindset that balances delivery today with building for tomorrow
What can you expect from us?
- Hybrid working policy – 3 days onsite, 2 days working from home
- A friendly and flexible culture, the same as how we work with our customers
- A growing organisation that means there’s lots of opportunities to progress
- A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one
- And of course, you will be rewarded competitively, with a great range of core benefits including: annual bonus, up to 10% employer contribution pension, private medical with BUPA and 38 days holiday (including bank holidays)
We’re committed to building a working environment that values respect, diversity, and compassion. We welcome people regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, faith or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and whether you’re pregnant or on family leave.
