Help shape smarter lending decisions and drive responsible growth.

At MotoNovo Finance, we’re on a journey to continuously improve how we make credit decisions; balancing commercial ambition with fair, responsible outcomes for our customers. As a Credit Analyst in our Acquisition team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we assess applications, optimise strategies, and enhance the end-to-end customer journey.

What will your day look like?

This is a hands‑on, insight‑led role where your analysis will directly influence lending decisions and business performance. You’ll be:

  • Analysing acquisition performance – analysing front‑end application data, KPIs and conversion insights to identify trends and assess performance of acquisition strategies
  • Optimising credit strategies – refining policies, cut‑offs and decision frameworks to support profitable, responsible growth
  • Improving automation – enhancing automated underwriting and reducing manual intervention through smarter use of scorecards and affordability tools
  • Driving decision quality – ensuring we balance risk, customer outcomes and commercial objectives in every decision
  • Collaborating across the business – working closely with modelling, underwriting, pricing and risk teams to deliver aligned, data‑driven strategies

Why this role matters

Your work will directly influence how we grow our lending portfolio, helping us:

  • Make fair, consistent and responsible credit decisions
  • Strengthen our risk management and governance standards
  • Deliver a seamless, customer‑first onboarding experience
  • You’ll also contribute to key risk discussions, MI reporting, and strategy decisions that shape the future of our credit acquisition approach.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and confident turning complex data into clear, actionable insight. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in credit risk or analytical roles, with a strong understanding of credit scoring and decisioning
  • Strong data and analytical capability (SAS, SQL, or similar tools)
  • Ability to translate technical insight into clear business recommendations
  • A collaborative mindset – someone who enjoys working cross‑functionally to solve problems
  • A passion for continuous improvement and better customer outcomes
  • Bonus if you have experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau.

What can you expect from us?

  • Hybrid working policy (2 days onsite in Cardiff and 3 days at home)
  • Competitive salary and a great range of core benefits including annual bonus, 10% employer contribution pension, private medical with BUPA, and 38 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • A friendly and flexible culture, the same as how we work with our customers
  • A growing organisation that means there’s lots of opportunities to progress
  • A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one

Still curious?

Join us and we’ll make the same promises to you as a colleague, as we do to each of our customers. We’re committed to building a working environment that values respect, diversity, and compassion. We welcome people regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, faith or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and whether you’re pregnant or on family leave.

Please note: we have a thorough screening and referencing process, which includes financial and criminal record checks.
