About the Role

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA), you will act as a damage repair consultant, ensuring efficient, high-quality repairs while maximising commercial opportunities. You will work closely with customers, insurance assessors, and our skilled production teams to deliver outstanding repair solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Inspection – Accurately assess damaged vehicles, identifying all necessary repairs.
  • Negotiation – Liaise with engineers and assessors to agree on repair costs.
  • Quality Control – Conduct final Quality Control (QC) inspections to ensure repairs meet industry standards.
  • Repair Methodology – Select appropriate repair methods tailored to customer needs and site resources.
  • Customer Engagement – Explain repair processes and discuss upselling opportunities where appropriate.
  • Estimating & Costing – Construct detailed vehicle damage assessments using platforms such as Audatex, GT Motive, etc.
  • Profit Maximisation – Optimise repair margins by effectively utilising systems and allowances (including Zone-99).
  • Pre-Accident Value (PAV) Evaluations – Assess vehicle values where required.
  • Job Costing & Invoicing – Ensure accurate repair costs are recorded for invoicing.
  • Production Collaboration – Attend daily production meetings to update colleagues on assessments and customer needs.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service, balancing speed, quality, and commercial awareness to achieve the best repair outcomes.

About You

You are a highly experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor with a strong commercial mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay ahead of industry advancements, and take pride in delivering outstanding customer experiences.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in vehicle damage assessment.
  • Strong understanding of modern repair methods and the ability to maximise repair opportunities.

  • Able to clearly explain repairs, build trust, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Willingness to embrace continuous learning and improvement.
  • Experience using Audatex, GT Motive, and other assessment tools.
  • IMI VDA accreditation.
  • In depth knowledge of prestige vehicle market would be advantageous.
