An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department of Moto Hospitality Ltd. Moto is the largest operator of Motorway Service Areas in the UK offering a number of leading high street brands such as BP Forecourts, M&S Simply Foods, WH Smith, Costa Coffee, Burger King, KFC, Pret A Manger and West Cornwall Pasty.

As our Senior Finance Manager – Operations is a key finance partner to Operations leadership, responsible for transforming operational data into clear, actionable insight and supporting the delivery of performance‑improvement projects across the estate. The role focuses on operational profitability, efficiency, and execution, using strong dashboards, KPI frameworks, and hands‑on project support to improve decision‑making and outcomes. Ownership of labour, payroll, and site overheads sits outside this role.

You will be responsible for:

  • Own and evolve operational dashboards and reporting, defining key KPIs (e.g. profitability, margin drivers, waste, productivity) and ensuring reporting is simple, consistent, and action-focused
  • Lead the finance input into performance improvement projects, including assessing financial impact, setting baselines, tracking benefits, and helping prioritise initiatives with the greatest commercial value
  • Support planning and forecasting, contributing to budgets and reforecasts with realistic operational assumptions, and clearly articulating risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
  • Deliver decision-focused analysis, translating financial data into clear, practical insight to support areas such as pricing, efficiency, and process improvements
  • Promote strong financial discipline across Operations, ensuring initiatives align with agreed frameworks, controls, and governance without slowing delivery

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong experience as a Finance Business Partner in an operational environment
  • Proven ability to design dashboards, KPI frameworks, and performance reporting
  • Experience supporting operational change and improvement programmes
