Summary
The ideal candidate will be a creative and analytical thinker with a passion for supporting young people aged 14-25. This role sits within our Marketing team and you will be taking charge of developing and delivering a holistic marketing strategy for Motivez to attract more young people and supporters for our programmes. You will take the lead in growing, running and maintaining our social media channels ensuring consistent branding and engagement across Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building brands, growing and retaining online communities, creating content, and has experience across short-form video, still and graphic design content on Canva.
The role also presents the opportunity to work with some of the world’s largest employers like Salesforce, PwC and Google as they join us to attract and engage their early-career STEM talent.
About Motivez
Motivez is an ambitious organisation led by young people that exists to address the world’s biggest problems through the next generation of underrepresented STEM leaders. We do this through:
- Grassroots programmes where we take young people aged 14-16 on a journey to solve local problems surrounding sustainability and become future STEM leaders.
- Employability programmes to coach thousands of young people aged 16 - 25 into the world of work with intimate workshops and relatable role models.
- A recruitment arm to help employers attract and engage underrepresented talent.
Responsibilities
- Running social media platforms - day-to-day running, monitoring and responding to community feedback and comments, implementing new ideas for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
- Regular engagement with the Motivez community across platforms following posts.
- Documenting the Motivez programmes to share the story of the impact across social platforms.
- Champion the Motivez brand across all socials and uphold the brand ethos and image to ensure consistency.
- Influencer and partner outreach - researching and suggesting relevant STEM influencers, ambassadors and partners for Motivez to engage with.
- Assist the Head of Digital with content creation for marketing campaigns.
- Identify target audiences, objectives and desired outcomes of a marketing campaign.
- Developing and executing experimental marketing campaigns and competitions on time across all social platforms.
- Monitoring performance, analysing user data, identifying emerging social media trends and reporting on campaigns.
- Develop a quarterly strategy for the Marketing team.
- Manage and allocate a quarterly marketing budget.
About you
- Creative mindset, able to identify upcoming social trends, moments and events.
- Demonstrative experience in developing and executing digital marketing across a wide variety of channels and platforms.
- Passion for marketing with some experience running social media accounts.
- Strong analytical, communication, time-management and creativity skills.
- Strong ability to think strategically and change tactics while still meeting larger objectives.
- Strong ability to focus on customer/market and take initiative.
- BONUS - An ability to produce visual assets like images, videos, gifs to accompany your content.
- BONUS - familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, Capcut Pro, Adobe Premier Pro.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Sociable, confident and happy building relationships with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent organisation and collaboration skills and ability to learn quickly to ensure smooth delivery of content.

- Salary: Starting from £32,000 (pro-rota), dependent on experience.
- Working pattern: Minimum of 4 days per week for at least 6 months.
