Motive empowers the people who run physical operations with tools to make their work safer, more productive, and more profitable. Motive serves more than 100,000 customers across industries including transportation, logistics, construction, energy, field service, manufacturing, agriculture, food and beverage, retail, and the public sector. Our Financial Products division turns operational insights into bottom-line impact by controlling spend, unlocking cash flow, and eliminating fraud. We’re looking for a product leader who can scale the portfolio in annualized volume while upholding Motive’s values of Own It and Less, But Better.
You will own the product vision, P&L, and roadmap for Motive’s financial products. Success means turning the world’s richest telematics dataset into intelligent payment experiences that save our customers money—instantly and automatically.
What You’ll Do
- Set the strategy & P&L. Define the 3-year product and revenue strategy for all Financial Products and own performance targets (TPV, interchange margin, credit losses, and attach rate).
- Build & lead a world-class team. Hire, coach, and inspire product managers, risk analysts, and data scientists; provide clear priorities, career paths, and a culture of ownership and speed.
- Ship transformational features. Launch real-time fraud prevention, dynamic credit & spend controls, embedded financing, and AI-powered risk models that combine payments data with Motive’s IoT signals.
- Partner deeply. Collaborate with Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Data Science, Sales, Partnerships and external issuing banks, processors, and networks to move fast while staying compliant.
- Operationalize excellence. Create rigorous OKRs, dashboards, and weekly business reviews; instrument every flow for conversion, unit economics, and customer delight.
- Represent Motive externally. Be the face of Financial Products with strategic customers, regulators, and industry partners; evangelize our differentiated vision at conferences and in media.
- Enable GTM scale. Arm Sales, CS, and Marketing with positioning, collateral, and pricing that make Motive’s Financial Products a must-have for every customer segment.
What We’re Looking For
- Domain mastery. 10+ years building and scaling B2B fintech or payments products; deep command of card issuing, credit & fraud risk and interchange economics.
- Proven scale operator. Track record owning a multi-million-dollar revenue business and improving gross margin while accelerating growth.
- Data & risk chops. Comfortable steering underwriting, collections, and machine-learning fraud models; able to translate SQL, cohort LTV, and loss curves into product bets.
- Fleet / physical-operations empathy. Bonus points for experience serving transportation, logistics, construction, or field-service customers—and for turning IoT data into financial insights.
- Hands-on leadership. Builder of diverse, high-performing teams across geographies; equally effective in the boardroom and the sprint review.
- Clear communicator. Distills complexity into crisp narratives and inspires action across Product, Engineering, Risk, Finance, and GTM organizations.
- Values alignment. You sweat the details, run toward the fire, and Own It in every decision—exactly what Motive expects of its leaders.
