At Titanbay, we’re reshaping private market investing, creating access, transparency and control for private banks, wealth & asset managers and their clients. Our platform is built by a tight-knit engineering team solving real problems in scalable ways and we’re looking for a Software Engineer as we expand the team to help us continue to grow our offering.

You’ll join a supportive cross-functional team that owns the full development lifecycle, from idea to release. We value clean code, thoughtful architecture and strong collaboration as well as a strong desire to continue learning as we don’t expect you to know everything on day one. If you’re excited by our mission and eager to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and build robust, scalable web applications — front-end, back-end, and everything in between.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to shape and implement new features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with performance and security in mind.
  • Develop and manage databases and APIs to support our platform’s growing capabilities.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical documentation.
  • Continuously improve processes through code reviews, retrospectives, and knowledge-sharing.

What you’ll bring:

We’re interested in people with a solid technical foundation and a growth mindset, not necessarily those who tick every box. You might have:

  • Experience building full-stack applications using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (we use Vue.js).
  • Exposure to backend systems and database design (bonus if you’ve worked with Firestore or GCP).
  • A collaborative mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and teach.
  • Strong communication skills and a user-focused approach to problem-solving.

Benefits & Perks:

We believe great work happens when people feel supported, in and out of the workplace. Here’s what you can expect as part of the team:

  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (with the option to roll over up to 5 days per year).
  • Employee share options.
  • Private health insurance.
  • Private dental cover.
  • Life insurance (3x salary).
  • Flexible salary sacrifice pension.
  • ClassPass health & wellbeing membership.
  • Juno lifestyle allowance.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
  • ParentPromise digital new parent support.
  • Flexible working.
  • Work from anywhere (up to one month per year).
  • Regular team events, lunches, and days out.

How to prepare for a job interview at Motive Partners

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Motive Partners uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
