As a Lead Product Manager – Digital Banking, you will define and drive the multi-year vision for our self-serve Digital Banking products. You'll align this vision with our broader business banking strategy, build strong business cases to secure resources, and lead the execution to ensure market success. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. You'll work closely with bank executives, customers, and internal teams to translate needs into actionable product strategies while mentoring and guiding other Product Managers to success. Your goal? Deliver measurable business impact—acquiring new clients, increasing ARR, reducing churn, and enabling upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
What you'll do
- Product Strategy & Roadmap Development: Define and execute the multi-year vision for Backbase's Digital Banking offerings, leveraging existing solutions and accelerating innovation; Develop compelling business cases for major initiatives, securing investment and prioritization for high-impact projects.
- Stakeholder & Executive Engagement: Partner with C-level executives, banking leaders, and customers to understand market needs and translate them into actionable product requirements; Work cross-functionally with R&D, engineering, UX, and business teams to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery; Align product strategy with wider company objectives, influencing decision-making at all levels.
- Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and coach mid-level Product Managers and Business Analysts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals; Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable team culture that thrives on excellence.

- Experience & Skills:
- Digital Banking Expertise: Strong background in Digital Banking domains, with prior experience in Payments being a significant advantage;
- Product Development: 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional Agile teams to deliver successful digital products in scale-up or enterprise environments;
- Strategic Vision: Proven ability to define and execute a 2-3 year product strategy that aligns with company objectives and drives measurable business impact;
- Market Leader: Experience influencing product direction through market insights, competitive analysis, and innovation, with a track record of driving industry-leading initiatives;
- Team Development: Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing product teams, with at least 2+ direct reports or a history of coaching junior PMs to senior roles;
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong ability to translate customer insights into product decisions, with a proven track record of improving key metrics such as NPS, engagement, or retention by 10-20%;
