About the role:

Location: Hybrid, Aberdeenshire

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are hiring for a Sales Executive as part of our European Sales team, based in Aberdeenshire. In this role, you will carry out sales activities on assigned clients, to generate and qualify sales leads to meet company goals. You will also ensure customer satisfaction in accordance with the Motive Offshore Quality Management System. You must be willing to travel within the UK with potential overseas travel.

In this key role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape Motive’s growth across our Europe region, working closely with regional and global leadership. You’ll have a big say in driving strategy, exposure to international markets, and the chance to represent innovative solutions that deliver real value. About the team:

You will be joining our European Sales Division, reporting directly to the Technical Sales Manager and working closely with a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.

The Sales team is central to Motive\’s operations, ensuring that highest standards are consistently worked towards and improved upon, to meet the demands of our clients worldwide. This role will contribute to maintaining and improving the services we provide to our clients and helping drive the success of Motive\’s sales efforts.

And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.

Responsibilities:

People

  • Adopting the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout day-to-day tasks and decision making.
  • Carry out sales visits to existing clients and/or potential clients. Generate and qualify leads from the sales visit(s). Negotiate and follow up with client accordingly.
  • Develop strong working relations with key stake-holders – clients, colleagues etc.
  • Making Technical presentations and demonstrate how a product/service meets clients’ needs.
  • Develop and maintain the customer sales database as per departmental procedures.
  • Support proposals team when necessary.
  • Work in conjunction with marketing/PR department to develop and maintain sale activities.
  • Attend exhibitions and sales events as required.

  • To be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.
  • To uphold the Motive Offshore Group People Values.
  • HSEQ – compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, and the company’s management system.
  • Carry out quality checks on the product and service delivery at the end of the project, as per the Customer Satisfaction Management Procedure.

Product

  • Deal with Rental/Sale enquiries.
  • Provide guidance and support from customers during product evaluation, selection and specification(s).
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements.
  • Liaise with engineering department regarding bespoke equipment enquiries when necessary
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction, including after sales support interaction, and build strong client relationships.
  • Manage identified key Account(s) to ensure high levels of service.
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development to provide market intelligence and forecast information.

Required skills / knowledge:

  • Previous Sales experience within lifting equipment and hydraulics
  • Previous experience of sales within an electrical equipment would be beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of sales.
  • Ability to achieve targets.
  • Good negotiator, with an innovative approach.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Energetic and confident personality.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organisation.
  • Good computer literacy.
