About the role:
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
The Technical Sales Manager will be an integral part of the sales team and is key to the success of Motive Offshore Group's business goals. You will carry out sales activities on assigned clients and generate and qualify sales leads to meet company objectives, ensuring customer satisfaction in accordance with the Motive Offshore Quality Management System.
As the Technical Sales Manager, you will partner with key customers across multiple sectors in the Energy industry, advising on technical solutions and components, driving efficiency internally and externally. You will be involved in high value and volume projects globally.
About the team:
You will be joining the European Sales team, focused on ensuring the best standard of service is provided to our clients. Reporting into Ryan, our European Sales Manager, you will work alongside a team of Technical Sales Managers and Sales Coordinators, communicating daily with our manufacturing, rentals, and projects teams.
Responsibilities:
- Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values.
- Develop strong working relations with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues, etc.
- Support the Sales Administration team when necessary.
- Plan and participate in company-wide sustainability policies and initiatives.
- Assist the European Region Sales Manager in achieving annual sales revenue targets.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers during product evaluation and selection.
- Visit clients face to face to discuss ongoing leads.
- Handle rental and sales enquiries.
- Carry out quality checks on product and service delivery.
- Read and understand technical drawings associated with the product offering.
- Make technical presentations to demonstrate how a product/service meets clients' needs.
- Manage and interpret customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain the customer sales database.
- Work with the Marketing/PR department to develop and maintain sales activities.
- Attend exhibitions and sales events as required.
- Monitor competitors and provide market intelligence.
- Target and develop client base to generate growth in sales revenue.
- Engage in any other reasonable activity as requested by management.
- Promote environmentally responsible practices.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Required skills / knowledge:
- Experience in Manufacturing, Rentals or Cable Handling solutions within the Offshore and Energy industries.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles and practices.
- Ability to achieve targets and negotiate effectively.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
- Confident communication with all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to build strong working relationships.
- Team player.
