About the role
The Operations Manager is accountable for service delivery at C-Kore.
This involves leading the Administration and Support Team and working closely with Sales, Production, Accounts and Technical departments to ensure all customer requirements are tracked and fulfilled, while maintaining C-Kore’s reputation for excellent service, quality, flexibility, and as a friendly partner in solving our customers’ challenges.
The role demands excellent people skills, building strong working relationships with colleagues, customers and external partners alike.
Operational delivery begins with a handover from the Sales Team and concludes once rental units have been returned and fully invoiced by the Accounts Team.
The Operations Manager ensures processes are followed rigorously throughout, with jobs proactively tracked to reflect ongoing hires, service provision and associated costs in a dynamic environment.
About the team
You will become an integral part of the C-Kore team, reporting to Greg, our Operations Director, and working closely with teams across the business to ensure excellent service delivery.
C-Kore is a small, specialist team covering Operations, Sales, Engineering, Design and Customer Support, supported by the wider Motive Offshore Group.
Responsibilities

- Adopt and promote the Company People Values ensuring they are demonstrated in all aspects of the role.
- Act as a positive ambassador for both C-Kore and Motive Offshore Group.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Monitor team and individual performance, providing regular feedback, coaching and support as required.
- Conduct appraisals and Personal Development Plans for direct reports.
- Support the onboarding, training and ongoing development of team members.
- Foster a positive, accountable team environment focused on performance and continuous improvement.
- Represent the company at client meetings, discussing project specifications, progress and resolving issues where required.
- Manage third-party contractors when on site, ensuring compliance with project requirements and company standards.

- Adhere to and participate in Company sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives that support the Group's Net Zero objectives.

- Service Delivery
- Take overall responsibility for customer service delivery from Sales handover through to project completion, equipment return and invoicing, including checking and releasing accrued charges to the Accounts Team for invoicing
- Allocate administrative and support resources to ensure customer requirements are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
With all relevant documentation, costs, service requirements and customer communications accurately recorded and completed.
- Ensure customer project progress meetings are attended (virtually), either directly or via delegation depending on context.
- Ensure effective communication of charges to customers, and accurate tracking of hire costs, expenses and additional chargeable services through to invoicing.
- Work closely with other departments, including Production, Sales, Accounts and Technical to communicate service delivery needs and priorities.
- Build and maintain strong customer, supplier and contractor relationships, acting as a key point of contact for escalated customer issues
- Ensure customer feedback is gathered on completed orders and route it to the relevant department to support continuous improvement.
- Performance Tracking
- Monitor company performance against budget, liaising with the Sales Team as required, and providing variance commentary as part of internal reporting
- Support Finance with month-end activities, reporting and related administrative requirements.
- Maintain accurate operational records and reporting, providing clear updates on performance, risks and requirements.
- Planning & Resource Management
- Support the Production Manger with up to date schedule information, including urgent requirements, to enable them to plan production tasks to meet demand.
- Monitor rental asset availability and support demand, capacity and stock planning.
- Escalate capacity and investment requirements to the Operations Director. Assist with generation of capital expenditure requests and oversee purchasing.
- Administration
- Lead and manage the Administration Team, ensuring efficient delivery of day-to-day operational and office activities.
- Oversee key administrative functions including purchasing, stock control, production support, shipping and logistics, customs, travel, facilities, equipment calibration/maintenance, events, customer data requests and company records.
- Provide administrative support for HR, QHSE and internal communications as required.
- Ensure office operations, facilities and administrative processes are maintained effectively and in line with company policies.
- Be able to cover other roles within the team as workloads demand, providing hands‑on support across Administration, Customer Support and Logistics to meet changing priorities.
- Customer Support
- Manage customer support services, including on-call and pre-booked support, staff availability, support rotas and approval of employee claims relating to out-of-hours recompense.
- Ensure support services are pre-booked when required. Manage urgent requests and resource availability. Ensure all charges are recorded and agreed.
- Support safe systems of work, risk assessments, training and competency requirements, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Required skills / knowledge
- Experience managing operational projects from planning through to completion.
- Budget monitoring, cost control, and supporting financial processes such as invoicing and payment collection.
- Office management and administration experience, including facilities management and record keeping.
- Exposure to HR processes such as recruitment support, onboarding, or employee administration.
- Good communication skills with the ability to build strong, working relationships, internal and external to the organisation.
