About the role
- Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
- The HR Business Apprentice will provide essential administrative support to the HR Department, handling telephone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional and efficient manner.
- This is a 2-year fixed-term Modern Apprenticeship.
- The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Business and Administration at SCQF Level 6, delivered by North East Scotland College.
- The candidate must be willing to travel to the Aberdeen City Campus when required for induction sessions, exams, or other essential activities related to the qualification.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in a busy international business environment, develop a wide range of transferable administrative and organisational skills, and work towards a recognised qualification while earning and learning on the job.
About the team
Reporting to our HR Team Lead, you’ll join a small, dedicated HR team committed to keeping everyone at Motive connected and supporting the business in making the difference it strives to achieve.
Responsibilities
- Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensure their use is embedded throughout.
- Provide first level administrative support to the HR Team and employees.
- Develop strong working relations with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues etc.
- Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice.
- Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns.
- Assist with issuing onboarding documentation where necessary via relevant systems and ensuring that checklists are updated appropriately.
- Update HR partner with basic information ensuring that all onboarding checklists are completed.
- Answer telephone queries where necessary.
- Monitor the HR inbox, ensuring that any urgent queries are escalated to the appropriate HR Focal point as necessary.
- Assist with processing of staff benefits (e.g., gym memberships).
- Assist with carrying out HR Inductions to new employees.
Required skills / knowledge
- Previous experience in an office environment – however full training can be provided.
- Interested in working towards a Business Administration qualification.
- Good understanding of office management principles.
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Well-organised with a customer-oriented approach.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
