We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver to join our client's busy and well-established Builders Merchant team to help cover absences both long and short term. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver who takes pride in safety, reliability and delivering outstanding customer service. As a HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring building materials are delivered safely and efficiently to customers across residential and commercial sites. The successful HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver will be confident operating a 26-tonne vehicle fitted with a Brick Grab HIAB and committed to maintaining high service standards at every delivery point.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
- Perform duties as a professional HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver within a busy builders merchant environment
- Deliver building materials to residential and commercial sites
- Operate a 26-tonne vehicle fitted with a Brick Grab HIAB
- Load and unload materials safely using HIAB equipment
- Carry out daily vehicle and crane safety checks
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service at every delivery point
Essential Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Valid HIAB certification (ALLMI or equivalent)
- Proven experience operating a 26t Brick Grab HIAB
- Previous experience working as a HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional, reliable and punctual
