Motiva Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Day Drivers on behalf of our client, a well-established general haulage operation based in Corby. We are looking for reliable and professional Class 1 drivers to join their general haulage fleet on regular day shifts. There are a number of shift patterns available, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers looking for consistent work and a shift pattern to suit their availability.
Available Day Shift Patterns:
- 5/6 Days
- Monday Start
- Monday to Friday Days
- 1 in 3 Saturdays
We will only consider applications from Drivers with at least 12 months' commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.
Preferred Experience:
- General Haulage
- Curtainside Trailers
- Ratchet Strapping
The Role Involves:
- Ensuring vehicles comply with all legal requirements and reporting any issues to the relevant transport team
- Ensuring the security and accuracy of deliveries and loads in your charge
- Following delivery instructions accurately and effectively
- Driving in a safe and efficient manner at all times
- Complying with health and safety standards
- Adhering to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
- Completing all relevant delivery and vehicle documentation
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects or issues promptly
- Working professionally and maintaining a high standard of customer service
Driver Requirements:
- You must hold:
- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
- A full Driver Qualification Card (DQC/CPC)
- At least 12 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience
- Previous general haulage experience is preferred, along with experience using curtainside trailers and ratchet strapping.
