We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join their team in Southampton. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and experienced driver looking for consistent Monday-to-Friday work with a reputable company.
The Role
- Delivering palletised goods to residential and business locations
- Operating curtain-side vehicles
- Using a tail lift and pump truck
- Completing up to 15 deliveries per day
- Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
- Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
There is no handballing involved.
Requirements
- A valid Class 2 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience
- Experience delivering to both residential and business sites
- Experience with pallet deliveries, tail lifts and pump trucks
- A good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
- A reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday 7:00am start
- Up to 40 hours per week, with overtime available
- £17.00 – £19.00 per hour
- Overtime paid at x1.2 after 40 hours
- No weekend work
- No handballing
