Motiva Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Day Drivers on behalf of our client, a well-established general haulage operation based in Fakenham. We are looking for reliable and professional Class 1 drivers to join their general haulage fleet on regular day shifts. There are a number of shift patterns available, making this an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers looking for consistent work and a shift pattern to suit their availability.

Available Day Shift Patterns:

  • 5/6 Days Monday Start
  • Monday to Friday Days
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays

We will only consider applications from Drivers with at least 12 months' commercial Class 1 (C+E) driving experience.

Preferred Experience

  • General Haulage
  • Curtainside Trailers
  • Ratchet Strapping

The Role Involves

  • Ensuring vehicles comply with all legal requirements and reporting any issues to the relevant transport team
  • Ensuring the security and accuracy of deliveries and loads in your charge
  • Following delivery instructions accurately and effectively
  • Driving in a safe and efficient manner at all times
  • Complying with health and safety standards
  • Adhering to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
  • Completing all relevant delivery and vehicle documentation
  • Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects or issues promptly
  • Working professionally and maintaining a high standard of customer service

Driver Requirements

  • You must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
  • A full Driver Qualification Card (DQC/CPC)
  • At least 12 months' commercial Class 1 driving experience
  • Previous general haulage experience is preferred, along with experience using curtainside trailers and ratchet strapping.
