  • Carry out quality checks at first‑off, in‑process, and final stages; expedite concerns promptly
  • Support planning, material readiness, and cross‑department communication to keep production on track
  • Drive 5S housekeeping standards: clear walkways, correct storage, and zero‑tolerance on unsafe practice

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Essential

  • A solid background in mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Experience leading a small team as a team leader, lead hand, or senior fitter
  • Confident reading engineering drawings, BOMs, and build instructions
  • Good working knowledge of workshop safety: manual handling, power tools, lifting, PPE

Useful, not essential

  • Experience assembling conveyors or material handling equipment
  • Forklift, overhead crane, or lifting gear training
  • Familiarity with lean / 5S and continuous improvement principles
  • IOSH Working Safely or First Aid at Work (or willingness to complete)
