Looking for a meaningful role where your work makes a real difference to people’s lives? We’re Motionspot – an award-winning accessibility and inclusive design consultancy, shaping some of the most impactful and ambitious built environment projects across the UK and internationally. Our work spans commercial workplaces, transport, hospitality, leisure, retail, residential and masterplanning, helping clients move beyond compliance to create places that are truly accessible and inclusive for everyone.
We’re looking for a Junior Inclusive Design Consultant to join our collaborative and friendly team of accessibility and inclusive design specialists. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in design or the built environment (or similar) who’s passionate about accessibility, inclusion, and the power of good design to improve everyday experiences.
The Role
You’ll be part of our growing inclusive design consultancy team, supporting projects from concept through to delivery. Every day will look a little different, but your work will include:
- Helping to review architectural plans and carry out desktop or on-site inclusive design audits.
- Supporting senior team members to develop inclusive design strategies and reports.
- Researching design standards, accessibility regulations, and global best practice.
- Preparing graphics, presentations, and reports for clients.
- Taking part in client and stakeholder meetings – sometimes with user groups with lived experience of different protected characteristics.
- Assisting with research and internal innovation projects.
- Contributing to marketing activities, from creating visual content to helping write content for our website and newsletter.
You’ll be supported by our Design Team Leaders and will work alongside experienced consultants who will help you build confidence, grow your technical knowledge, and develop your understanding of inclusive design.
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have a qualification in architecture, interior design, spatial design, or a related field.
- Are curious about accessibility, inclusive design, and how spaces can better serve people of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds.
- Can write clearly, think critically, and pay attention to detail.
- Are confident using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (and ideally familiar with reading building plans).
- Are organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
- Enjoy working collaboratively in a supportive, close-knit team.
We hire for values and potential, not just experience. If you’re people-focused, have the right attitude and you are driven by purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
