Vanguard Tech Broking is a marine insurance brokerage based in the City of London, placing cover across hull & machinery, war risk, kidnap & ransom.
We're looking for a broker with a solid Hull & Machinery and War Risk background to join our team.
The Role
You’ll broke Hull & Machinery and War Risk business and also be integral in growing the Hull and Machinery book.
Key responsibilities
- Broking and placing hull & machinery cover, negotiating terms and pricing with underwriters
- Managing a portfolio of H&M renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments
- Acting as the primary broking contact for clients, building and maintaining underwriter relationships
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with FCA and Lloyd's market requirements
What we’re looking for
- Around 3 years' broking experience in hull & machinery
- Experience placing war risk cover
- Cert CII (or working towards) preferred
- Established or developing relationships with H&M and war risk underwriters
- Strong negotiation and client relationship skills
- Comfortable working independently in the London market
