About Carv

Carv is the world's first personalised AI driven ski coach. We clip a motion sensor to your ski boot, measuring and tracking every move you make on the mountain. Then Carv gives you real-time audio coaching, and personalised tips that make you better. It’s all driven by data from over one billion turns. Our content reaches millions of skiers a year, and this season we're taking the brand to ski hills across the world and we need a designer to help us do it.

The role:

We're hiring a mid-to-senior Graphic & Motion Designer for the full ski season, September through April, to raise the visual bar across everything Carv makes. There's a lot happening this year: an evolution of our brand and visual identity, a major launch, OOH advertising, animated coaching content inside the app, and motion work across YouTube, social and ads. You'll be the designer behind all of it, working directly with our Senior Content Lead in a small, fast-moving creative team. You’ll get real ownership and a short distance between idea and shipped work. By the end of the season you'll have a portfolio of work seen by millions of skiers, and you'll even have the chance to get out on snow to ski with and test the product.

What you’ll make:

  • Brand and identity work, sharpening how Carv looks and feels everywhere it shows up, from the app to our ads
  • Motion graphics for our YouTube channel and social content, watched by one of the biggest audiences in skiing
  • Animated and 3D/CGI visualisations of ski technique, showing the sport in ways nobody else can
  • Visual content inside the Carv app that helps skiers actually get better
  • Ad creative across paid channels, built and iterated quickly

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years across both graphic design and motion. This is genuinely a dual role and your portfolio should show both sides.
  • Fluent in the Adobe stack (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere)
  • 3D/CGI experience (Blender, Cinema 4D or similar) is a strong plus. Some of the most interesting work this season lives there.
  • A real eye for brand. You can take an identity and make it tighter, more distinctive and more confident.
  • Comfortable owning work from brief to finished asset at startup pace, without layers of sign-off
  • You love skiing. Not 'open to learning', you actually know the sport. You can't design for skiers if you aren't one.

Location:

Our HQ is in Vauxhall, London, where the team is in 3 days a week. We're flexible for the right candidate, with a regular office cadence. During the season you'll have the option to work from our Innsbruck office and use Carv's staff accommodation in the Alps.

£35,000 to £50,000 for the contract, depending on experience

Your own Carv, plus lift passes when you're on the mountain

Time on snow throughout the winter for testing, and skiing

Carvfest: every April we fly the whole team to Innsbruck for spring skiing, après and awards
