Freelance Content and Marketing Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Content & Marketing Assistant.
The ideal candidate will be a keen Marketing Graduate, Administrator or Executive Assistant who has a passion for content strategy, likes to organise, has good attention to detail and can execute tasks quickly and efficiently.
This would be a part‑time, remote freelance role (roughly 15‑20 hours per week) split between administration, content writing and social media duties.
About you 🫵
- You’re a keen Marketing Graduate or you have previous experience as an Administrator or Executive Assistant.
- You’re tech savvy and are able to use your initiative to learn software such as:
- Notion (our project management software)
- Canva (for creating graphics and posts)
- Kit (for batch scheduling emails to our audience)
- If you’ve got previous experience in any of these, or similar – amazing!
- You have excellent communication skills and you’ve got a passion for writing. You’re comfortable communicating on Slack and via email.
- You love to work independently and are able to use your initiative and excellent judgement to make decisions in a face‑paced environment.
- You’re able to juggle multiple responsibilities with unwavering attention to detail at all times.
- You’re community and customer‑focused and you love helping others and making sure they get what they need.
- Any experience working in the motion design industry or similar creative industry is a HUGE bonus!
What you will do 🤓
Administration
- Manages the email inbox.
- Client / team scheduling and calendar and travel management.
- Call scheduling and follow‑up for meetings and sales calls.
- Assist the Motion Hatch team with our course community, ensuring queries are responded to or flagged with the team.
- Work closely with the team to ensure tasks are completed on time.
Content & Marketing Strategy
- Write and schedule emails (with input from our team).
- Manage our weekly newsletter – repurposing content and scheduling.
- Repurpose content from our podcast, YouTube channel and existing course content.
- Create graphics and posts for our socials.
- Schedule social posts across Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Over time, become a driver of content ideas and strategy for Motion Hatch.

Motion Hatch is an online education company that provides courses, programmes and training materials to help motion designers grow their careers and build successful businesses.
We achieve this by teaching them entrepreneurial and soft skills, such as time management, pricing their work effectively, marketing themselves, and finding clients.
Our main content marketing platforms are YouTube and a Podcast.
We love working with motion designers and studios who want to have a positive impact on the world.
Pay & Hours 💰
- This is a remote position where you’ll get to make your own hours and work from wherever you wish.
- The position is open to worldwide candidates but we ask that you are able to work UK hours (9am‑5pm GMT).
- Estimated 15‑20 hours a week – it’s up to you to determine your workflow, but we ask that you can be available online Monday to Friday during UK work hours.
- Pay is dependent on skills and experience.
