Motion Group Ltd is recruiting an experienced TIG Welder on behalf of a well-established, ISO 9001 accredited precision sheet metal fabrication company based in Chorley. This is an ongoing temporary role with genuine temp-to-perm potential for the right welder. The company has 25+ years in the trade and supplies fabrications into commercial and retail markets across the UK and internationally. The Chorley site focuses on the finer, more detailed sheet metal work — ideal for a welder who takes pride in clean, precise welds.
TIG Welder – Key Responsibilities:
- TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, brass and copper
- Working on thin-gauge sheet metal from 0.5mm up to 12mm
- Welding from engineering drawings on bespoke and batch-run components
- Maintaining ISO 9001 quality standards on all welds
- Working in a segregated stainless welding area where required
- MIG welding may be required occasionally to support production
TIG Welder – Requirements:
- Time-served TIG welder with proven sheet metal experience
- Strong on thin-gauge stainless and aluminium TIG welding
- Confident reading and working from engineering drawings
- Awareness of cross-contamination control on stainless work
- Coded welders welcome but not essential
- Reliable, quality-focused, good attendance record
