The Sales and Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day sales and operational functions within the automotive division of Motio and TradeSales.com. This role combines leadership, strategic planning and operational management to drive sales performance, improve process efficiencies and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive sales, inventory management, team leadership and cross-functional coordination.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a sales team to meet performance goals.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and address challenges.
  • Manage key customer accounts and build long-term relationships with corporate/dealer clients.
  • Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee inventory control, vehicle procurement, logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate with the service, parts and logistics departments to streamline operations.
  • Ensure timely delivery and readiness of vehicles for customers.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Recruit, train and evaluate staff performance across sales and operational functions.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals and address challenges.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Manage budgets, forecastsand financial reporting for the sales and operations unit.
  • Track KPIs including sales volume, gross margin, inventory turnover and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular weekly/monthly reports and insights to senior management team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sales and operations management within the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing multi-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive products, market dynamics and dealership operations.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, ERP tools and MS Office suite.

Compensation & Benefits Package:

Base Salary:

  • Annual Range: OTE £50,000 > £100,000 dependent on financial results
  • Varies based on experience, region and industry experience
